Kibbutz Life

The heartbeat of the kibbutz is its people!

Kibbutzim played a large role in making the nation of Israel strong and they will continue to make a significant contribution to Israeli society for years to come.

The kibbutz, our home base in Israel, is made up of families with children of all ages, young couples and professionals, students at the local college and grandparents who have lived there for over 40 years.  It's a close-knit environment of people who care about each other and look out for one another.   The privilege to join in on the lives of the people is very rewarding.

How the kibbutz operates:

The kibbutz is a democratic organization with each member having one vote. They have weekly meetings to discuss kibbutz business. Officers are elected yearly.   On the kibbutz, the respected person is the one who is responsible and does their work to the best of their ability.

In Ezekiel 36:33-34 the prophet, looking ahead to God’s future blessing on Israel, writes:

“I will cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. And the desolate land shall be tilled.”

Partake in an active lifestyle!

Very quickly you will fall in love with the people and become immersed into their lives. There are many opportunities to get involved with social life, cultural activities, sports, recreation, major life events, meal times and more with our Israeli friends on the kibbutz.

Work part time on the kibbutz as a volunteer!

Daily you will have the opportunity to bless the kibbutz with your work.  It's also a great way to display a positive work ethic.  A good attitude toward the work is rewarded by respect and acceptance and at work, we do our best as unto the Lord.

And whatever ye do, do it heartily as unto the Lord, and not unto man.
